A Fueling Breakfast

This morning it was back to work for me after being gone for a couple weeks. I knew that I needed a fueling breakfast, so I made a big bowl of oatmeal with egg whites for protein.

This bowl includes oats, soymilk, ground flaxseed, currants (we're out of raisins), egg whites, and pecans. Yum!

I finally made oatmeal with the recipe you gave me a couple of weeks ago. It was delicious! It inspired me to eat more oatmeal and spice it up with more toppings. I used vanilla soymilk and waited to add the cherries until the oatmeal was about half-done. I had the recipe, but it didn't specify whether the flaxseed was supposed to be ground up. I put it in whole because I figured it would influence the taste a little. Although it wasn't in your recipe, I drizzled some honey over top since I thought it would need something a little sweet besides the cherries. The honey was perfect.
I have one question: how do you keep the soymilk from burning at the end? I had to soak the pan for several hours to loosen it up from the pan.
Also, what kind of soymilk do you use?
